Installation, support and FAQ

For invited testers installing the app and sharing feedback.

Prepared as of

How do I join?

Round 0 will be shared directly with about 10 acquaintances. Round 1 is planned to recruit about 100 people for free through local promotion. You can leave your email and device in the homepage application form, and the operator invites people by hand. Invitations are not automatic, and no public installation link is provided.

How do I install on Android?

Open the APK link you receive and download the specified file. Android may ask whether the downloading app can install it. Check the source, file and distribution instructions. If there is a security warning or installation failure, record your device model, Android version and the error message.

Do not uninstall first to update or move to the release. It can affect existing records, so check the build instructions. A public Play Store link is not provided yet.

How do I install on iPhone?

Install Apple TestFlight, then use the invitation link to install the DamDam test build. Invitation capacity and build availability can affect installation. If the link is unavailable, provide the displayed message, device and iOS version.

Check before deleting and reinstalling the app. Installation through TestFlight does not guarantee that existing records will carry into the released app.

Which devices and languages are supported?

The app is being developed for iPhone, iPad and Android. The current iOS build configuration targets 16.4 or later; check the distributed build for actual installation requirements. Android’s minimum version and device behavior need confirmation against the actual build.

The app UI is currently Korean. The website is available in Korean and English. AI, speech, search, maps and other external services require internet access.

Is testing free?

Current external testing is free. Round 1 capacity of about 100 people and usage allowances will be adjusted to operating conditions. Unlimited AI or speech use is not promised. Any paid service will have separate conditions.

Can I keep my records after release?

We aim to preserve records and migrate them to the released app, but complete migration is not guaranteed yet. Structural changes can prevent some records from being migrated. Check guidance before uninstalling or changing devices and keep separate copies of important material.

Internal backup measures do not guarantee a complete backup that you can export and restore. Supported preservation and recovery methods will be explained after verification.

How should I report a problem?

Send feedback to support@damdam.day. You can also reach the test contact through the channel where you received the invitation. Do not include API keys, verification codes, recovery keys or complete private record-sharing links.

  • Device model, OS version and app version or invited build
  • Screen and steps, expected result and actual result
  • Whether it happens again and whether the record was saved
  • A redacted screenshot or error message, if needed

Can I receive launch news?

Yes. Preferences will be checked, and email retained for the launch-news purpose. Ending a test alone does not require immediately deleting email still needed for that purpose. The actual delivery channel will include opt-out or withdrawal instructions.

How are updates or the end of testing announced?

Important changes will be announced in advance where possible. Urgent or unforeseen situations may require action first and an explanation as soon as reasonably possible. No fixed advance-notice period is guaranteed.

What is the official contact?

Send installation, usage, bug-report and testing questions to support@damdam.day, and privacy questions and rights requests (access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, withdrawal of communication preferences) to privacy@damdam.day. DamDam is currently operated by an individual, and the public operator name has not been decided yet. It will be added when confirmed.
